The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association has lots of fun events planned for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Fly-In Weekend at the Tillsonburg Airport.
TILLSONBURG - The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association is inviting everyone to learn about an important part of Canadian History.
The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Fly-In Weekend will be filled with fun activities to honour a principal group of people in our history.
The BCATP was a group effort by Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to train over 130,000 men and women to be pilots, navigators, bomb aimers, wireless operators, air gunners, and flight engineers in the second world war.
Public Relations Director, Terry Scott says they will have lots of fun events at the Tillsonburg Airport this Saturday and Sunday.
"We're going to have a good variety of historic aircraft, on the ground and in the air. And we'll have all sorts of displays and activities within our hangars and outside our hangars at the Tillsonburg Regional Airport. There will be presentations by accomplished author and historian Ted Barris who is a fantastic author and a wonderful speaker will have a kid's Fun Zone, some fundraisers and merchandise sales, food trucks, and of course, there's always the popular Skyway cafe at Tillsonburg airport."
All of the fun will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. It's free to attend but donations will be accepted.
