The Tillsonburg corporate offices are moving from the Tillsonburg Town Centre on Broadway to Brock Street E.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg's corporate offices are packing their bags and moving out.
After spending 127 years on the second floor of the Tillsonburg Town Centre, they're moving to 51 and 55 Brock Street E.
Mayor Deb Gilvesy released a statement on why the move is necessary.
"The current corporate offices are no longer meeting the Town’s needs. As with the renovations currently happening at the Tillsonburg Community Centre, we’ll need to endure some short-term pain for long term gain,"
Town Council is not fully wrapped around the move though stating that the Customer Service Centre will remain open and continue to provide face to face services for residents and customers such as tax inquiries, utility payments and building and bylaw matters.
The move does not have a date finalized, but CAO Kyle Pratt says it will happen before the end of the year.
