The Elgin OPP responded to reports of a vehicle speeding and hitting traffic signs Friday night.
BAYHAM - The Elgin OPP has charged a 21-year-old from Tillsonburg with mischief over $5,000.
This comes after officers responded to reports of a vehicle speeding and hitting traffic signs on Vienna Road, east of Richmond Road, at around 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
They were able to pull over the vehicle a few hours later and three people were inside it at the time. The 21-year-old was arrested and two others took off on foot. The two people who ran off are both described as white men with dark hair.
The vehicle involved in this incident is described as an older model black Ford Ranger pickup truck. It was painted like a stock car, so it had white stripes with the word Goodwrench, and the number 3 on the side.
The investigation is ongoing at this time, so anyone with information should call the Elgin OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
