Two people are facing charges, including one woman from Tillsonburg, after a break and enter at a home on Highway 3 in Woodhouse.
WOODHOUSE - A Tillsonburg woman is one of two people who have been charged following a break and enter at a home on Highway 3 in Woodhouse.
Police were called to the scene on November 21st at approximately 3:52 a.m after a car was seen at a property and a resident saw suspicious behaviour and immediately contacted authorities.
Officers found the vehicle on Highway 3 and stopped it to investigate. Two people were taken into custody without incident.
Detachment Commander, Inspector Joseph Varga praised the resident's actions.
"The OPP would like to thank the Good Samaritan that immediately contacted police to report this suspicious vehicle and occupants. As a result of their quick thinking actions, officers were able to locate both individuals and take them into custody without incident and recover stolen property."
29-year-old Erik Post of London, Ontario has been charged with following offences:
- Break and enter
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Obstruct peace officer
42 year-old Tina Anne Mackey has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
Both are scheduled to appear in a Simcoe courtroom at a later date.
