TMMC Donates Rav4 to Oxford County Community Health Centre

Staff and volunteers will be able to drive clients to important appointments in and out of town.

TILLSONBURG - The Oxford County Community Health Centre (OCCHC) is now the proud owner of a 2025 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid,  thanks to a generous donation from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC).

Randy Peltz, the Executive Director of OCCHC says the new SUV will help with the Mobile Community Outreach Services in Tillsonburg.

"Transportation is far too frequently overlooked as an essential ingredient in accessing services, it’s taken for granted. TMMC deeply understands this gap, and we are grateful for their focus on supporting mobility in such meaningful ways”"

It will be driven by staff and volunteer drivers, who will make sure their clients can get to medical appointments that are in and out of town.

Community Outreach Worker Abbie Boesterd says this donation will help vulnerable and marginalized individuals in our community.

"Thank you, TMMC, for the generous donation of the RAV4 to support our efforts in reaching and supporting individuals within our community. This vital contribution will enable our Tillsonburg team to strengthen our Outreach Services, ensuring that individuals and families have better access to the essential services - to bring care, resources, and advocacy directly to those who need it the most. The RAV4 makes an immediate difference in the lives of so many”"

Ryan Westbrook, the General Manager of the TMMC Woodstock Plant, says they're happy to help.

"As a mobility company, our mission is to provide the safest and most responsible ways of moving people. Part of this is removing barriers to movement. This RAV4 Hybrid will not only allow people to reliably access the services they need, it will control costs for the Health Centre by providing fuel efficiency”"
