Trevor Birtch will answer to the charges laid against him in February 2022.
WOODSTOCK/LONDON - A former Mayor of Woodstock will be in court this week.
A four-day, judge-alone trial will be taking place for Trevor Birtch in London. It will address the criminal charges that were laid against him in February 2022: one count of assault and two counts of sexual assault.
London Police also charged him with three counts of sexual assault in April 2022, but those charges will go before a judge in September this year.
Birtch served two terms as the Mayor of Woodstock. He was first elected in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018, but he placed fourth in the 2022 mayoral race.
Heart FM's Kyle Freel will be covering the trial in London this week, so make sure you stay tuned and keep an eye on the Heart FM X page for more details. All posts related to the case will use the #BirtchTrial.
