Maple Leaf Foods is getting out of the turkey raising business. That means a change in company names for some local farms. Cuddy Farms is taking over six breeding farms and a hatchery from Maple Leaf, including the former Cold Springs farm in Thamesford. Ernald Enterprises is purchasing six other Maple Leaf turkey farms, including locations in Ingersoll, Thamesford and Woodstock. About 100 people are employed at the 12 turkey operations.
