The TVDSB is reminding parents and guardians kids 12+ will need to have their first shot by Saturday, July 24 to be eligible for a second dose by Labour Day.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Thames Valley District School Board is encouraging kids between 12-17 to get vaccinated before the school year.
It is not mandatory for students to get vaccinated before school starts in September and the Province has not announced any plans to make vaccines mandatory for kids to attend school.
The TVDSB is reminding parents and guardians that teens will need to have their first shot by Saturday, July 24 to be eligible for a second dose and be fully vaccinated by Labour Day.
Locally the Southwestern Public Health Unit is now accepting walk-in appointments. You can also book online here, or call for an appointment at 1-800-922-0096 ext. 9 (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
