The Navy Vets beat Simcoe 4-3 in a shootout Friday night. Christian Babb and Jamie Kelly scored in the shootout. Mike Roefs made 39 saves including a game saver on a breakaway in the OT period. The Vets are now 2-1 on the season. They are off now until they host St.George next Friday at Southwood Arena. The Norwich Merchants also won last night. They took on Aylmer winning 6-3. Saturday night the Merchants host the Jr. D Thamesford Trojans in the first cross-over game between the two leagues. Sunday afternoon, the Merchants play Heart FM & Friends in a charity game at 1:30pm.
