Southwestern Public Health has confirmed two more COVID-19 cases in the City of Woodstock. Also a staff member at a long term care home in Elgin County has tested positive for the virus.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed another two cases of COVID-19 in the City of Woodstock.
This brings the total number of active cases in Oxford County to 16. We currently have 4 cases each in the City of Woodstock and Blandford-Blenheim, 2 cases each in Zorra, Tillsonburg and EZT and 1 case each in SWOX and Norwich Township.
The number of active cases in Elgin County and St. Thomas is currently at 14. The Health Unit has also confirmed a second outbreak at a long term care home in Elgin County. The first outbreak is resolved. The second outbreak was declared after a staff member at a long term care home tested positive for the virus. The staff member was using PPE's while at work and they are hoping that they did not pass it on to any residents. All of the residents and staff at the Long Term Care Home are being tested.
