Two More Residents Have Died From COVID-19 at Maple Manor

Another 23 residents at Maple Manor tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend and 2 additional deaths. Other LTC homes in the region with resident cases include PeopleCare in Tavistock, Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock and Trillium in Norwich.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 2 more deaths from residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 at Maple Manor in Tillsonburg. 

The Health Unit also confirmed 27 new cases of the virus today and 19 recoveries. 

We currently have 16 people in the hospital with the virus, including 3 in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 383 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Aylmer and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

The Health Unit is also reporting 9 active outbreaks at long term care homes. The outbreak at the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg has 80 residents who have tested positive for the virus and 45 staff members after the Health Unit confirmed 26 new cases related to the Long Term Care home over the weekend. A total of 11 residents have now died with COVID-19 at Maple Manor. The outbreak at PeopleCare in Tavistock now includes 37 residents and 32 staff members after the health unit confirmed 6 new cases today. A total of 5 residents have passed away with COVID-19 at PeopleCare in Tavistock.

Other Long term care homes in the region with residents who have tested positive include Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock with 2 resident cases and Trillium retirement home in Norwich has 5 residents who have tested positive.
