A new council will be sworn in at Woodstock City Hall on Thursday night.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council will have an official ceremony for their new council on Thursday night.
The only new faces at the table this term is Mark Schadenberg and Ron Frasier who has already sat on council. For Schadenberg, this will be the first time going through this process.
"We have already had a couple of orientation sessions and then it starts for real on Thursday night, however the Thursday night meeting is more of a ceremonial thing, the first real official meeting will be on the 13th."
Schadenberg says he is excited to get down to work.
"There is so many topics of discussion coming up, especially in the new year when budget talks really get going with Capital budget and Operation budgets, along with boundary adjustments, so much more that is kind of the agenda for the new year."
The new council will be sworn in at 7:00 p.m. inside the Woodstock City council chambers at City Hall.
