Three memorial Canadian flags representing fallen soldiers were stolen from the Tyler Todd Memorial Tournament.
PLATTSVILLE - The Seventh Annual Private Tyler Todd Memorial Event in Plattsville was a huge success this year.
Over $71,000 was raised for Wounded Warriors which helps with mental health stress for the front line workers and the soldiers. Organizer Trevor Baer tells Heart FM his good friend Tyler Todd would have loved this event.
"Tyler would have been thrilled to have an event like this if he was around to support Wounded Warriors. He would have loved every minute of this weekend."
The fun was happening all weekend long in Plattsville with hockey tournaments, an Easter egg hunt, dance and silent auction.
The only down side of the event is one three of the Canadian flags that were displayed were stolen. 158 flags were on display and each one represented a fallen solider from the Afghanistan mission. Baer says he just wants to get these flags back.
"Three of those flags and posts went missing and what we are looking for is to get those flags back, no questions asked, we just want to get them back. We had 158 flags that represented all of the Afghan soldiers that passed away and we want those flags back."
Baer also wanted to thank everyone who came out this weekend and help support Wounded Warriors and all of the businesses who donated items and money to make this all possible.
