U.S. Gives Green Light to Double Vaxxed AstraZeneca Air Travellers

Starting next month, those who have received two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine will be able to fly to the United States.

UNITED STATES - Those who have received two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to fly to the States once the U.S. implements new travel restrictions next month.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says air travellers who have received two doses of a vaccine approved or listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will be able to cross the border.

It's not yet clear if this will also apply to those who have received mixed doses of vaccines. More than 3.9-million Canadians have received mixed doses of Health Canada approved vaccines and about 1.6-million have received one dose of AstraZeneca.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved the AstraZeneca vaccine, but it has been approved by the World Health Organization.
