15 teams raised over eleven thousand dollars in a dodgeball tournament for the United Way.
WOODSTOCK - They dipped, ducked, dived, and dodged to raise funds for the United Way at the UDodge tournament.
Campaign Coordinator Amanda Kreiger says Cowan Park was full of enthusiastic dodge ball participants on Saturday.
"Last year we had 10 team so we grew by 5 teams this year. Having the new facility at Cowan Park really let us accommodate more teams. SO this year with the UDodge the total amount raised was over $11,000 for the day."
Last year the tournament raised around $7,000. Kreiger says they look forward to seeing all the positives that money will bring to the community.
"All this money will stay to help local programs in our community here in Oxford County so you can look into our investment strategies on our website and see who our partners will be for the next year."
At the end of the day it was the Boston Brutes who walked away victorious after a fierce finale against the Innerkip Thunder From Down Under.
