Local organizations can now submit a statement of interest form to United Way Oxford.
OXFORD COUNTY - With their big fundraising campaign underway, United Way Oxford is trying to determine how they will distribute their fundraising dollars in the New Year.
Statement of interest forms are now being accepted until October 19th.
Executive Director Kelly Gilson says they would like to help local organizations that benefit their three main pillars; From Poverty to Possibility, Strong Communities and All That Kids Can Be.
"We want to get the word out to local groups that if you're doing work in helping people meet basic needs, eliminating barriers to employment, providing mental health and addictions support, providing mental health and addiction support or nurturing and mentoring children and youth to build steam and resiliency; those are our priorities and we would like to help."
Gilson says their volunteers will be going through all of the submissions afterwards.
"The last time we did a full cycle of funding, a big open call like this three years ago; our volunteers that year had over 675 hours in reviewing applications, making decisions and following up."
You can find the statement of interest form online here.
Volunteers will only pick a few candidates to submit a full application afterwards.
