OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford's Day of Caring was once again a success!
Yesterday marked the 18th Day of Caring and saw hundreds of volunteers go to various not-for-profit organizations around the county like Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Ingersoll Services for Seniors and helped them complete tasks they either don't have time to do or the resources.
Community Engagement and Impact Manager, Lindsay Wilson on one of the projects conducted.
"We had projects across the county, quite a few in Woodstock, some in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg. But an example of one that I think is great is at DASO. We had our volunteers there put together some raised garden beds and plant some veggies that will be used in the nutrition program."
Wilson also mentioned how grateful she is for M. W. and Co's involvement in sponsoring United Way so they can buy all the supplies needed to help the community.
You can still provide people in your community with their needs by donating to United Way Oxford.
