WOODSTOCK - United Way Oxford's U Dodge tournament is making a comeback in the Friendly City.
For the first time since 2019 teams are being invited back onto the court for fun AND fundraising!
Team members must be 18 or older, with 8 to 10 co-ed members. Teams must also submit a theme song to play during their entrance.
Resource Development Coordinator Julie Rutherford is encouraging team spirit for all participants.
"We are hoping that they bring all of that spirit back. We want to see everyone in team uniforms. We want to hear cheers; we want to hear battle cries. It's going to be a very fun day."
Teams are required to raise a minimum of $500 to participate in the event. Since 2015 Dodgers have raised over $83,000. The day will include morning refreshments, snacks and lunch.
Resource Development Coordinator Julie Rutherford says there's also a ton of prizes that teams can look forward to.
"Prizes for the top fundraising team, top 3 individual fundraisers, and the above and beyond prize, for those who take it upon themselves to go out and outdo themselves."
UDodge is taking place on April 22nd at Huron Park Secondary School. The tournament starts at 8:30 a.m.
