The bridge will be closed for concrete deck pouring today and on Friday.
WOODSTOCK - The Vansittart Avenue (Oxford 59) bridge will be off-limits for a couple of days this week.
It has been down to a single lane of one-way, northbound traffic for quite some time now due to the bridge rehabilitation project that started early this year.
However, Oxford County officials say crews will be temporarily closing the northbound lane today and on Friday for concrete deck pouring. The bridge will be reopening to the previous conditions tomorrow and over the weekend.
The bridge reconstruction project started in February and it's expected to wrap up by December this year. It includes the complete removal and replacement of the existing bridge deck, bridge repairs, and a new wider deck to allow for bike lanes and sidewalks.
You can find more information about the project online here.
