The UTRCA says the water levels will be higher than usual after all the rain we got over the weekend.
UTRCA - With all of the rain we've been getting lately, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has an important reminder for everyone.
It's asking everyone to stay away from local bodies of water adding the levels will be higher than usual. The banks close to rivers and creeks could be very slippery and the water could be fast-moving making it a dangerous situation for everyone, especially children and pets.
The UTRCA says the flood control reservoirs for the Fanshawe, Wildwood, and Pittock Conservation Areas are being operated to reduce downstream peak flows, but discharges below the reservoirs will still be elevated throughout the week.
