The annual 12 Days of Giving is back, and United Way Oxford is hosting it.
OXFORD COUNTY - It is the start of United Way Oxford's 12 Days of Giving.
People are being encouraged to donate funds, learn about United Way, as well as donate time over the first 12 days of the month. Resource Development Manager, Amanda Kreiger, says even if you think you have nothing to give, you can.
"No amount is too small, whether that's a donation or whether that's time. Everybody can do something to help make our community stronger. Even if that's just saying hello to a stranger on the street during this time of year, everybody has the power to brighten somebody else's day."
Kreiger says during the 12 Days of Giving, you can take part in one or two days, or you can make a donation each day. She adds that there is more than one way to participate in the campaign.
"We set up the 12 days of giving so that there's four different ways to give back."
Kreiger says the first four days you can donate funds to help with programs, the next four days you can spend learning about the organization, and the final four days can be spent volunteering your time.
