The Woodstock Navy Vets will have home ice advantage heading into Game 4 of their quarter final playoff series with Paris.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets came up short losing 4-3 against Paris in game 3 of their quarter final playoff series against the Mounties. Paris got the scoring going early in the first period breaking away for a 2 nothing lead. The Navy Vets responded in the second-- Chris Nauts and Dan Haig teamed up to even the score, however Paris was quick to answer with another goal to pull ahead 3 - 2. In the last 5 minutes of the second period, Navy Vet Mike Gillespie evened the score to head into the third period tied, 3-3.
Unfortunately for the Vets, Paris found the back of the net early in the third and hung on for the win. Vets goalie Michael Roefs face 45 shots between the posts. The Vets will have home ice advantage for game 4 on Tuesday. Puck drops at 7:45 p.m. at Southwood Arena.
