Three Oxford County elementary schools come home with silver medals
48 teams from across Thames Valley District School Board participated in the Elementary Volleyball Championships in London on Saturday, December 14th.
Harrisfield came out with a silver metal for both the girls and boys team.
Roch Carrier also achieved a silver metal for their boys team.
Unfortunately, Northdale and Algonquin both lost out for a medal coming in fourth place in their bronze medal games.
Here's how Oxford County schools faired in the tournament.
Girls A:
GOLD: John Dearness over Harrisfield (25-23, 25-14)
BRONZE: Byron Somerset over Northdale (25-5, 25-15)
Boys A:
GOLD: Masonville over Roch Carrier (27-25, 25-17)
Boys AA:
GOLD: Ryerson over Harrisfield (25-16, 25-14)
Boys AAA:
BRONZE: White Oaks over Algonquin (25-13, 25-14)
