Submissions are now being accepted for the New Impressions: High School Juried Art Exhibition at the Woodstock Art Gallery.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery is now accepting submissions for the New Impressions: High School Juried Exhibition.
It's for students in Grades 9 to 12 who live or go to school in Oxford County.
Head of Education Stephanie Porter says they're looking for visual art submissions.
"If you have pencil crayons, crayons, chalk pastels, charcoal, drawings from your sketchbook or pretty much anything. It's open to any medium."
Porter says it's a great opportunity for aspiring artists.
"Young artists will be guided through every step of the process including artwork submission, proper professional documentation of their work, the jurying procedure and formal critiques from local art professionals."
The jury for the exhibition includes Mercedes Schuster and Marla Botterill. Schuster is a local artist from Beachville and Botterill is a fine arts professor at Fanshawe College.
Three cash prizes will be awarded. The two Jurors Choice prizes will be worth $250 each and the artist who wins Best in Show will walk away with $500.
March 18th is the deadline for submissions. All you have to do is fill out the online form and upload a picture of your masterpiece.
