Nearly 100 people slipped on a pair of red high heels for the 5th Annual Oxford County Walk A Mile in Her Shoes event Saturday. Participant Mark Parloin says he participated as a way to show his children that no violence is acceptable. Spokesperson for Domestic Abuse Services of Oxford, Barbara Wright says while the final tally hasn't been done, she believes they raised at least eight thousand dollars for sexual assault and abuse counselling programs at Domestic Abuse Services of Oxford. The event was started in California back in 2001 and has become a world wide movement.
