Today marks the 1-Year anniversary since the new Woodstock Hospital opened its doors. "In some ways it feels longer, in some ways it feels like collapsed time, it feels like 3-months. But we're so excited to achieve this significant milestone." Hospital CEO Natasa Veljovic says the first year has been a busy one at the new hospital. The first MRI, the opening of the dialysis unit, piloting new hi-tech software and hospital equipment has meant a year filled with many firsts. And Veljovic says there are still new beginnings ahead in year two. "We still have some expansion in surgical services, and further expansion in the rehab unit to complete that. But the first year was certainly the most exciting with bringing all the new technology up to speed." She says it's been a very smooth transition and attributes that to having a very experienced team of nurses and physicians at the helm. All the new and expanded services has led to about 100 new jobs at the new hospital.
