Nobody was injured after a wheel flew off a transport truck on the 401 E/B this morning, hitting two passenger vehicles.
OXFORD COUNTY - Nobody was injured after a wheel flew off a transport truck on the 401 E/B this morning.
The wheel collided with two passenger vehicles in the E/B lanes around 6:18 this morning near the Woodstock ONroute Service Station. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage, while the transport was undamaged.
Workers from the MTO removed the debris from the highway to prevent any further collisions. The driver of the transport, a 60 year from Centralia if facing the following charges:
- Wheel Separation - Commercial Motor Vehicle [Highway Traffic Act 84.1(1).
- Driving a Commercial Vehicle-Part Detached [Highway Traffic Act 84.2(1).
The defendant will appear in court in Woodstock on October 24, 2019.
