If you haven't gotten rid of it by now, that Christmas tree might be getting a little crispy. The City of Woodstock is in the midst of picking up old Christmas trees this week at the curb. This is the only week for pick-up and if you've missed it, you can still bring your tree to the James St. Public Works Yard. And for County residents, there are 11 depots to drop off your old tree. (Full listing below) Works Superintendent in Woodstock Alex Piggott says the trees will eventually meet Mr. Woodchipper. "So the County has a contractor that will come in the early spring and they'll haul all this material out to the landfill in Salford. They have a compost facility there, and they'll mulch this material and mix it in for the composting program." If you're putting your tree out to the curb this week, Piggott reminds you to make sure the stand is off, and no ornaments are still attached. Here's a list of all 11 County drop-off locations for not only trees, but brush, leaves and yard waste: Town of Ingersoll: Public Works Yard, 10 Pemberton Street Township of Zorra: 783045 Road 78 Township of East Zorra-Tavistock: - 18 Hendershot Street, Tavistock - 158 Loveys Street, Hickson - Corner of George and Main Streets, Innerkip Township of Blandford-Blenheim: 895957 Oxford Road 3 Township of Norwich: - York Street behind the Public Works Yard, Otterville - Phebe Street, Norwich City of Woodstock: 944 James Street 7 days a week 7:30 am - 11:00 pm Town of Tillsonburg: 50 Newell Road Wed 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Sat 9 am - 4 pm Oxford County Landfill Site: 384060 Salford Road M-F 8 am - 4:30 pm, Sat 8 am - 4 pm
