Local charities can now submit an application to become the Woodstock-Ingersoll & District Real Estate Board's Charity of Choice for 2022.
WOODSTOCK/INGERSOLL - The Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board is looking to find a new charity to support in 2022.
President Alison Porter says they're currently accepting applications for their next Charity of Choice.
"What we're looking for is applications to come in for charities that could really use the help and assistance of the donations from the Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board. We will be having a committee sit down in early 2022 to review the applications and determine the best fit for our Charity of Choice for 2022."
Each member of the board donates $1.00 every month through their monthly fees that is given the Charity of Choice. The WIDREB will also raise additional funds through their annual events.
Porter says they have collected a lot of money for local charities in the past.
"We have raised $11,000 for Sakura House and we were able to raise $6,315 for the Canadian Mental Health Association."
This year, they are raising funds for the South Gate Centre.
Those interested in submitting an application for the 2022 Charity of Choice can reach out to Mary Baxter, the REALTORS® Care staff liaison, for more information. Her e-mail address is mary@widreb.ca.
