Multiple charges have been laid against a Windsor man after he failed to remain at the scene of an accident.
WOODSTOCK - A Windsor man has been arrested and charged by Woodstock Police.
Yesterday at 4:30 p.m. the driver was involved in a collision in Amulree. He failed to remain at the scene and drove to Woodstock, where he travelled south on Van Ave, which is closed to traffic due to construction. He went over the curb on the sidewalk and almost hit construction workers.
Police located the driver on Givens Street, and an inspection of the vehicle found many mechanical and safety issues.
As a result, he is facing charges of dangerous operation, defective brakes, and operating an unsafe vehicle from Woodstock Police, as well as additional charges from the OPP for the Amulree collision.
