Ed Sanchuk with the Norfolk OPP is stressing the importance of clearing all of the snow and ice off your vehicle before you hit the roads.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Many people will be digging themselves out of their driveway this morning to head into work.
We got hit with even more snow last night, meaning many will be waking up to a snow covered vehicle and drive way.
OPP Acting Sargeant Ed Sanchuk says if you do plan on driving this morning, make sure to clear all the snow from your vehicle.
"Please make sure that you clean off your entire vehicle of snow. That includes, your roof, your trunk, your hood, all your surrounding lights and make sure you turn off all of your light systems.
Sanchuk says yesterday was a good reminder of why we need to ensure our vehicles are winter ready.
"Make sure your vehicle is prepared for the winter months, ensuring it is in tip top shape, you have good winter tires, a battery, you have an emergency kit in the back of your vehicle and a charged cell phone."
The roads this morning may not be as bad as yesterday but they are still pretty slick this morning. A snow squall warning is currently in effect for Oxford County.
