Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement predicting snow squalls for Oxford and surrounding areas.
Oxford County's first real dose of winter could be imminent.
Environment Canada has put out a special weather statement as they predict a significant amount of lake effect snow to sweep through the area on Thursday night and into Friday morning.
Right now, Environment Canada believes Simcoe County will be hit hard from strong snow squalls off Georgian Bay, and Huron, Middlesex, and Lambton could take a beating from Lake Huron.
Travel could be treacherous in some areas if this does happen - visibility could be severely reduced and blowing snow is possible.
