The Woodstock Kitten Nursery and Rescue will be hosting two fundraisers at Wedding Ways at Rose Hill next month.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Kitten Nursery and Rescue is inviting everyone to Wedding Ways at Rose Hill.
It will be hosting two fundraisers there next month; the Tiny Paws for a Cause Shindig on June 28th and the Sunday Funday on June 29th.
Volunteer Jen Ormsby says the shindig is a licenced event from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
"So we're going to have a dinner that's being catered by JTK Meat Shoppe and it will be followed by live music provided by KJ and the Motones. So if you love motown music and dancing, this is going to be a great event!"
The evening will also include a silent auction, raffle games, and late night karaoke. Tickets are $70 each and they can be purchased online here.
Ormsby says the Sunday Funday will be open to the public, running from from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the next day.
"We're going to have a vendor market, a barbeque and the most important part, we will have some of our adoptable kittens and cats there. So if you're interested in adopting, this would be a great time to come out."
If you find a cat or a kitten that you would like to take home, you will fill out an adoption request form on site. The rescue will schedule a meeting with you from there, and you will have some opportunities to meet with the cat once again. Ormsby says they prefer to have their cats adopted in bonded pairs, or going to a home with another cat that is around their age.
The Woodstock Kitten Nursery and Rescue will also have adoptable cats and kittens at the Woodstock Zehrs this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The grocery store has also set up a donation bin for people who wish to donate cleaning supplies and kitty litter to the rescue.
Jen Ormsby stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Monday May 26th. You can listen to the full interview below:
