The local long-term care home has received $375,103 from the province.
WOODSTOCK - That's $35 million in provincial funding for long-term care homes across Ontario.
The Ford Government says the investment for the Local Priorities Fund (LPF) will help residents with complex needs by supporting programs that connect them with the right care. It will also reduce hospital stays and visits to the emergency department.
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says Woodingford Lodge has received $375,103 from the program this year.
"Thanks to the LPF, long-term care homes in Oxford are equipped to care for our loved ones. Specialized equipment and services mean that long-term care home residents can get the care they need without the stress of a trip to the hospital."
The LPF was first launched in 2022 to provide special equipment, services and staff training to long-term care homes. This allows them to admit new residents with specialized needs and support current residents with complex needs.
