Oxford County Council has decided to appoint all of it's members to the Committee of Management for all three Woodingford Lodge sites.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County Council is the new Committee of Management for the three Woodingford Lodge sites in Oxford County.
Council decided to appoint all of the councillors to the committee. Warden Larry Martin says they won't be responsible for the day to day operations.
"We just look after the governance of it, monitor it and make sure that everything else is happening as per the provincial legislation, as does the management staff that we have in these buildings."
Martin explains why they appointed all members of council to this committee.
"So rather than have three members go back and report, it's only a 10 member council anyway and what will happen is maybe 3 or 4 times a year, we will have the Director of Services for Woodingford Lodge make a presentation to council, unless something comes up in-between those times."
The committee's goal is to focus on funding accountability, service standards and quality improvement.
