People can pick up work by local artists and support both the artist and the Woodstock Art Gallery at the same time.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery is having their 6th annual 50/50 Exhibition and Sale.
They will have a number of works on sale for under $150 at the gallery this Friday night from 6-8 p.m. Proceeds from the sales of the art work will be split evenly between the artists and the WAG in support of the Gallery's education and exhibition programs. Curator Mary Reid tells Heart FM they will also be unveiling a new exhibit on Friday.
"The first one is by Wojciech Strahl, he's a local folk artist - he's actually classically trained in terms of doing church and religious icons and he has transformed the community gallery into this beautiful, kind of heavenly collection of Angels."
The Beautiful Angels will be on display until December 10th. Reid says they will also have all kinds of different art work for sale on Friday night.
"It's an open call submission so artists across Oxford County submit their work and it's displayed on the 3rd floor and we hang the work in a salon style, so it's kind of a floor to ceiling and we will have a wide range of works on display."
