A couple of cross town rivals square off at CASS tonight as the Knights host the Huron Park Huskies in the Woodstock Bowl.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Bowl of High School Football is happening tonight at College Ave.
CASS will host a Wednesday night lights game against their cross town rival the Huron Park Huskies. Head coach for the College Ave Knights Colin Braney tells Heart FM it promises to be a hard fought game.
"It's the Woodstock Bowl, it's a time honoured tradition of two local high schools and playing for local bragging rights. I have had the opportunity to coach at both schools and I know how important these games are to the kids, these are local bragging rights they can talk about for a long time.
Braney says they will have a BBQ out front and a dance afterwards.
"We trying to make these games a big deal, we are going to have a professional DJ playing some music and doing play by play and some introductions for the players and again we will have the lovely Gwen Stellar, a former contestant on Canadian Idol singing the National anthem."
They are hoping for a big turnout at the game that starts at 6:00 pm at the Terry Fox Field.
