The Woodstock Downtown BIA is stressing the importance of supporting local whenever possible as we battle the third wave of the pandemic.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Downtown BIA has put out a message urging people to continue to support local downtown businesses.
The Downtown in Woodstock is facing serious social issues right now and many businesses are struggling to stay alive during the Stay at Home Order.

The Downtown Woodstock, BIA Board of Management, is aware of the social challenges that are very apparent in our Downtown and the negativity that surrounds it.
Unfortunately, during these unprecedented times, Covid – 19 has affected everyone. No one in our community has gone untouched. Many have suffered in various capacities including, unemployment, homelessness, physical and/or mental health issues, and addictions to name just a few.
During Pre-Covid, social issues had always been a part of a larger systemic issue and relevant in Downtowns all over the world, not just here. Its current prevalence has certainly been exacerbated over the past year by the pandemic.
The BIA is working with area agencies, the Police, and the City towards solutions to help these individuals with complex needs. As we strive to make the Downtown a safer place for everyone, we thank you for your continued patronage to our local businesses.
