The City of Woodstock will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt in Victoria Park this Saturday rain or shine.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is inviting you to hop ’til you drop at the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The EGG-citing event is taking place at Victoria Park on Saturday April 8th. It begins at 10:00 a.m. starting with some special features for the kids.
Manager of special events Kristen Brodhagen explains what they have planned.
"There will be characters, including the Easter Bunny himself. We have a petting zoo, with basically the whole farm on site. We have face painting planned, balloon twisters and stilt walkers too."
She adds they have two magic shows planned for the day presented by Five the Magician Magic Show, and a Zumba class for kids hosted by Natalie Wiafe. A food truck will also be on-site for attendees at an extra cost.
Children will have time to enjoy the festivities before the egg hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. Brodhagen says the kids will trade in their plastic eggs afterward.
"Once kids collected their plastic eggs that will be scattered around Victoria Park, they can exchange them for a chocolate bunny and a colouring book."
The event is running rain or shine, so attendees are being reminded to dress for the weather. If there is a huge storm on the day of the event, activities will be canceled.
The event is free for everyone.
