A couple of major food drives will be happening at local grocery stores in Woodstock later this month.
The first one is happening on August 19th at Food Basics.
Organizer Chris Eby tells Heart FM they will be asking customers to help them stock the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank.
"We hand out little slips of paper to the customers as they come into the store, ask them if they wouldn't mind purchasing one of the items on the list and the lists are all tagged on the shelves as the same colour as the paper."
On Thursday night
The other food drives will happen on September 2nd at No Frills and on September 30th at Sobeys. The goal is to help stock the shelves at the Food Bank as they are normally quite bare after the summer.
