PERTH EAST - A 44-year-old Woodstock man has been charged in Shakespeare with driving while impaired by drugs.
The charges were laid from an incident that took place on the night of September 15, when Perth OPP received information of a possible impaired driver.
When the officers located the vehicle in question in a parking lot of a business on Line 34, they approached the driver and had reason to believe the driver had recently used drugs. The driver was arrested and transported to a local operations centre for further testing.
As a result, the man was also given a 90-day license suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment. He is scheduled to appear in court in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
If you suspect someone is driving while impaired, call 911 to report it.
