Woodstock Police and the MTO handed out 23 tickets during a traffic safety blitz on Tuesday.
WOODSTOCK - A number of tickets were handed out as officers conducted Operation Safe Driver in Woodstock.
The Woodstock Police Services Traffic Unit partnered with MTO Officers to execute the blitz in the city on Tuesday. A total of 19 vehicles were stopped, and 10 of which were commercial motor vehicles.
Of the 19 vehicles stopped,police handed out 23 tickets for various Highway Traffic Act offences. Of the 10 commercial motor vehicles stopped, 2 were taken out of service.
Police are reminding drivers to make road safety a priority during the summer months, they also ask that vehicles complete thorough vehicle inspections.
