Woodstock Police Briefs - Canada Day 2021

The Woodstock Police Service responded to over 92 complaints over Canada Day including a stolen vehicle report on Silcox Place, a vehicle entry on Nellis Street and three intoxicated individuals on Athlone Ave.

WOODSTOCK - It was a busy Canada Day for the Woodstock Police Service. Officers responded to over 92 complaints over the holiday.

The traffic enforcement unit issued four tickets on Wednesday. Two of them were for speeding; one driver was pulled over in the area of Highway 2 and 11th Line and the other driver was caught in the area of Parkinson Road and Longworth Lane.

Officers also charged someone for having an insecure load on Hunter Street and another person was charged with driving while suspended on Admiral Street.

WOODSTOCK - A grey 2016 Kia Sorrento has been reported stolen in Woodstock.

Police say someone stole the vehicle early Wednesday afternoon, while it was parked in the driveway of a home on Silcox Place.

They don't have any suspects at this time so anyone with information should contact Woodstock Police.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police also responded to a report of a vehicle entry on Nellis Street.

Officers believe it happened sometime overnight on July 1st but it doesn't look like anything was stolen at this time.

WOODSTOCK - Three men were arrested for public intoxication on Canada Day.

Woodstock Police say they were causing problems on Athlone Ave Wednesday night, so they were taken into custody and later released once they sobered up.

WOODSTOCK - No one was charged for drinking and driving in the Friendly City on July 1st.

Woodstock Police conducted several RIDE Programs on Wednesday, but all of the drivers were sober so no tickets had to be issued.
