Briefs include several thefts in the Friendly City, romance scams and a crypto currency scam.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested two people for shoplifting over the weekend and searching for another suspect.
A 37 year old man was arrested on Friday morning in the area of Norwich Ave and Julian Drive. Then later that same day, they arrested a 32 year old woman for shoplifting from the same business.
On Saturday police were called to the LCBO on Dundas Street after a couple of bottles of liquor were stolen. The suspect is a white man 40-50 years old wearing a black coat and hoodie.
Meanwhile another theft happened from a vehicle parked on Huron Street near Lancaster. A bottle of booze was taken from the vehicle. Police are searching for a female suspect described as wearing a facemask, pink and white jacket, with a grocery bag.

Police were called about reports of a possible romance scam and a scam involving cryptocurrency.
A romance scam is where a scammer convinces someone to enter a virtual relationship to gain trust and affection and eventually will begin requesting you send them money for various reasons including travel, medical emergency, joining a business venture, or investing in cryptocurrency.
