Briefs include an impaired driver slamming into a building, a weapon pulled on a man trying to stop his car from being stolen and two vehicle thefts in the Friendly City last week.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are reminding the public to never confront criminals in the act.
On Thursday around 2:55 am, four men were spotted trying to break into a vehicle in the area of Van Ave and Brant Street. When the vehicles owner tried to confront the men, one of them pulled out a weapon.
The men then took off on foot. The suspect with the weapon is described as a white man in his early 20's wearing a dark windbreaker with the hood up and black Nike Air shoes that fell off while he was running away.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police responded to a couple vehicle thefts last week.
A 2016 silver Dodge Caravan was taken from a home in the area of Victoria Street North sometime overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Then on Sunday morning just before 2, a black 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was taken from a home on Cardigan Street.

WOODSTOCK - An impaired driver in Woodstock collided with a building on Sunday evening on Ingersoll Road.
Officers arrested the 30 year old man at the scene and charged him with impaired driving.
