Woodstock Police Briefs

Briefs include shoplifters busted on Norwich Ave, a man going through cars on Chieftan Street, plenty of drug possession charges, B&E on Bysham Park Drive and an impaired driver who just narrowly missed hitting a hydro pole.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested a 33 year old from Cambridge after responding to a complaint about a shoplifter on Norwich Ave.

When police arrested the man, they also found fentanyl and methamphetamine in his possession. The man was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police busted a shop lifter on Thursday night.

Officers arrested the man after he left a store on Norwich Ave with a basket of unpaid electronics. Police found the man at another business near Parkinson Road and charged him with theft under $5,000.

WOODSTOCK - A 34 year old man from Woodstock was arrested early Friday morning going through cars on Chieftain Street. 

Police were called around 3:00 am. When they responded to the area, they found the man peering into a first floor balcony. When police caught him, they also found cocaine in his possession, fake credit cards and a phony drivers licence. The man was charged with prowl by night, possession of cocaine and 4 counts of making a forged document.

WOODSTOCK - A 27 year old man from Woodstock has been charged with break and enter.

Officers were called to the area of Bysham Park Drive around 3:00 am Sunday after getting numerous reports of business alarms going off in the area. Police found the 27 year old and charged with break and enter and possession of break in instruments.

WOODSTOCK - A 19 year old man from Woodstock will be walking for a bit after police busted him for impaired driving.

Officers arrested the young man on Sunday morning around 6;10. Police say he was heading south on Wilson Avenue when he ran over the curb, almost hitting a hydro pole at a high rate of speed.

The man was also charged with possession of stolen property.
