Briefs include a rise in frauds from people pretending to be family or friends in trouble, a couple of 30 year old's busted for shoplifting and possession and a weapons scare on Riddell Street on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are asking residents to be cautious when e-transferring money.
The warning comes as more and more people are getting fraud emails, asking for funds to be sent. Sometimes the emails are even coming from friends or family members who have had their accounts hacked.
If you are sending money via e-transfer be diligent in checking the email address or phone number you are sending it too.
If you get an email from a friend or family member, asking for help. Make sure to double check the request and don't send any funds until you are 100 percent certain you know where it is going.

WOODSTOCK - A 31 year old woman and a 35 year old man from Woodstock, have been arrested for shoplifting.
The woman was also charged with possession of methamphetamine. Officers were responding to shoplifting complaints early Thursday evening at the corner of Parkinson and Norwich Ave.
Police were able to locate the suspects quickly and arrest them without further incident.

WOODSTOCK - A KONA Precept 150 mountain bike with a grey frame and orange lettering has been stolen from a shed on Brant Street.
Police say the bike was taken sometime between February 11 and 13.

WOODSTOCK - You may have noticed a large police presence on Riddell Street on Saturday.
Police were investigating a weapons complaint in the area. Officers cleared the area and the residence safely without incident.
The suspect was later arrested in London and transported to Hamilton.
