WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is ready to get the Friendly City excited about public safety with their Police Week Community Event.
Community Service Officer Shaylyn Jackson gave us a sneak peak into some of the fun they have planed for Saturday afternoon.
“We’ll have tents set up and cruisers out. We have plans for some lunch to be brought in, and its really just a great opportunity for the community to get out and engage with the police service.”
Jackson added that they also have some community partners joining the event.
“Crime Stoppers and Victim Services will also be there so if people are interested in getting to know more about those programs, they will be on site to answer any questions for the community.”
The event is taking place in the back parking lot of the Woodstock Police Station on Dundas Street, and will taking place from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
