Police say the homeowners on Warwick Street woke up to their house alarm early Saturday morning and found a man in their basement.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is investigating a home invasion on Warwick Street.
It happened at a home close to Cambridge Street at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The residents woke up to their house alarm and heard a noise coming from their basement. While investigating, the residents found a man and police say an altercation took place before the man fled through the backyard. The residents were taken to hospital with minor injuries as a result.
The male suspect is described as tall, thin and he was wearing a camouflage hoodie.
