Nearly 700 vehicles were checked on the weekend where only 1 driver was charged with impaired
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police were out over the weekend for another RIDE Check.
On Friday they were near Springbank and stopped 100 vehicles - every driver was sober.
They covered three areas on Saturday: While at Springbank they checked 450 vehicles, they then moved to Oxford Road 17 where they stopped another 50 cars, and at Oxford Road 59 they checked approximatly 80 vehicles.
Four roadside tests were given. One 59 year old Woodstock man failed the test around 9 that night and was arrested and charged. He also recieved a license suspension - he's due at court in the new year to answer to the charged.
MADD was also on hand to hand out educational kits during the program and 26 drivers 21 and under were given Tim Horton's gift cards for driving with zero B-A-C's.
